It’s not everyday that one has the opportunity to get a private photography lesson from one of the greatest photographers of our generation, John Free.

By now most of you are familiar with Ted Forbes from The Art of Photography. This summer Ted had the opportunity to do something doesn’t come along all that often, a private photography lesson with John Free. Now, John Free is a Los Angeles-based photographer who is perhaps, one of the greatest street photographers of our generation. Steeped in the tradition of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank and W. Eugene Smith, Free takes the precedent set by these fine photographers and applies it to the modern world.

To be in the company of one of the greats and learn first hand about how they think, approach a subject and more – what an incredible privilege. This 10 minute video is packed with truth’s and simply a must see. Here is Ted’s photography lesson with John Free.
