In the second part of our “Celebrating Women in Photography” series, we sat down with Cape Town-based Fine Art Photographer and Lecturer, Vanessa Cowling. Watch as talk about her work, how she started teaching and balancing it all…

In celebration of Mother’s Day 2016, the team here at OrmsTV decided to visit three very talented ladies in photography. Not only are these women exceptional photographers and inspirational business women, they are also mothers who somehow manage to master it all. We sat down to talk photography, passion, business, balance and family.

In the second part of our little series, we went to visit fine art photographer and lecturer, Vanessa Cowling. Vanessa graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT) with a B A Honours in 1998. She specialised further at the International Centre of Photography in New York and thereafter spent a number of years in London and Edinburgh. Currently, Vanessa freelances and lectures at the Cape Town School of Photography and Michaelis. She’s also a mother of two beautiful little ones, with the third on the way! We sat down to talk about her work, how she started teaching and balancing it all.
