Welcome to our first monthly giveaway for 2012! This January we have a Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 250 AW worth R1,195 up for grabs!

The DSLR Video Fastpack is one of Lowepro’s newest camera backpacks. Based on the great Fastpack design, which offers the photographer quick access to his camera through a side opening in the bag, the DSLR Video Fastpack also allows you to secure your tripod/steadicam to the bag, and gives you an audio pouch and headphone strap. Like the original Fastpack, this bag also stores your notebook, for quick access to your workstation while on a shoot. Whether you shoot video or not, any photographer will enjoy this new bag, and we’ve got one to give away!

Connect Giveaway: Lowepro Video Fastpack

  1. This is my kind of bag.  I hate having to take my camera bag off then open it to access my camera.  The side opening not only makes it easier to get to my camera, it’s safer as it protects my camera from damage and makes it more difficult for someone to snatch my bag.  Place for my laptop is a plus.

  2. I know it sounds really obvious, but my old bag is too small for my notebook.  To me that would be such a great convenience.  At the moment I have to use 2 bags for my equipment, which sucks.

  3. A specially designed compartment for a 15.4” or 17”  widescreen notebook computer, as well as extra space for additional memory cards, cables and accessories.

  4. WoW!! What an awesome bag to make your life as a photographer quick and easy!!! With a Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 250 AW I will never have to carry my equipment in two separate bags anymore.. My whole workstation in one bag!! Winner of a design!!!

  5. The convenience of never having to put down the bag on the ground to open is what appeals to me the most. Quick and easy, so i can spend more time snapping away 🙂

  6. the top pouch makes it interesting – we always looking for that ‘little’ space to hold all of those unusual accessories / well here it makes perfect sense + with the extra case inside / even smaller items have a place — later days

  7. Quick and easy access to your camera through the side opening without having to take the bag off your back lowering the risk of your bag been snatched from you.

  8. Looks like a pretty epic bag to have in your collection, Having easy access to your Camera comes handy in many situations, i could say this would be pretty sweet to have my hands on right now.

  9. I love the fact that there is ample space for more than just your camera equipment and that you have quick access through the side opening in the bag. A quality product like this would be a great prize to get to start off 2012 with a BANG….

  10. The side opening would be a selling feature for me. That and the space for a laptop. I can’t fit my entire kit in one bag at the moment…I could with this baby!

  11. My favourite feature is undoubtedly the ability to strap my tripod to the side of the bag which makes navigating through rough terrain a little easier. The built-in All Weather AW Cover is a definite plus too to ensure all my goodies inside don’t get drenched.

  12. Love the accessibility of the separate compartments – especially the side pouch. And the tripod straps are genious! Could definitely make life on the go a lot easier!

  13. WOW, would love to get my hands on this bag as i currently had all my camera gear stolen along with my lowpro flipside 400 bag, i am currently working in Mali, west africa, but with a shoulder strap bag, which is doing me no use, as i am also traveling with AN EXTRA BAG to carry my laptop so that i can download my images. As a freelance travel photographer this would be the ultimate gift to start the new year off with a bang!
To conclude, this would really help me to travel without carrying 2 bags/excess luggage!
Help a photographer in need out please orms and lowpro!

  14. I dont need the new Lowepro Video Fastpack. I dont need the tripod mounting or the quick access to my gear. I dont need the high quality and durability. I dont need this bag at all!

    I want it 🙂

  15. I would say that the ability to keep my notebook and tripod with me is definite +1 in my books. At the moment I have all my equipment in separate travel cases and it’s downright inconvenient.

  16. Hi, I’m Earl Coetzee and I’m a visual journalist from Bloemfontein. Yes, Bloemfontein.

Let that simmer for a while.

I live in a part of the country where everything is dead and sucky and we need to drive hundreds of kilometres to have cool things. Let me have this cool bag without having to drive anywhere.

    Please.

    Pretty please…

  17. the fast and easy access to my mac and tripod, will benefit while on location shoots. it is amazing quality, and it has to be all mine!!!!! pick me pls. 🙂

  18. The photographer has quick access to his camera through a side opening in
the bag. The DSLR Video Fastpack also allows you to secure your
tripod.Everything you have or need fits in there.

  19. My favourite feature is the fact that there’s is enough space for me to put my laptop and my gear into the bag. I often have to carry two bags with me, one for the laptop, and one for all my camera gear. As I need to be able to upload images as they happen, having a laptop close by is a must. Some situations it’s very dificult to carry two bags around and still be mobile. This will make life so much easier!

  20. At the moment I’m beginning to look a bit like a pack-mule when I need to take both my camera equipment and notebook out on a shoot. If I don’t win it, I’ll have to buy – and free is better than cheap.

  21. I have the Computrekker Plus AW and the first thing that caught my eye on the Video Fastpack is the separate compartments. You don’t have to open the whole bag each time. For speed and convenience that rates very highly in my book. As a regular traveller with a heavy bag, being able to separate gear according to need saves time – a very valuable resource.

  22. this backpack is awesome! The space is great, i could fit my mini collection of camera toys in there one time and have easy access to them! My lappy can also fit inside! neato 🙂

    i like this bag.

  23. The laptop space, as well as the extra space for another camera and multiple lenses is a win. It’s also inconspicuous and doesn’t look like a camera bag.

    Love it.

  24. As photographer you need a reliable, well insulated and well managed pack for your equipment. The Lowepro Video Fastpack does exactly that. Its great for both amatuers and proffessionals.

  25. I think everyone here will agree when you think of getting a backpack for your gear, Lowepro is the only choice that really makes sense. Them making it so much better with all the quick access panels and different features are a clear indication that they keep up with the demands we as consumers bomb them with.
    Awesome!!!

  26. Looks like a really functional bag to have.  I love the laptop space, tripod straps, and the way everything seems to just have a space in a perfectly designed bag.
