Welcome to our first monthly giveaway for 2012! This January we have a Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 250 AW worth R1,195 up for grabs!
The DSLR Video Fastpack is one of Lowepro’s newest camera backpacks. Based on the great Fastpack design, which offers the photographer quick access to his camera through a side opening in the bag, the DSLR Video Fastpack also allows you to secure your tripod/steadicam to the bag, and gives you an audio pouch and headphone strap. Like the original Fastpack, this bag also stores your notebook, for quick access to your workstation while on a shoot. Whether you shoot video or not, any photographer will enjoy this new bag, and we’ve got one to give away!

This is my kind of bag. I hate having to take my camera bag off then open it to access my camera. The side opening not only makes it easier to get to my camera, it’s safer as it protects my camera from damage and makes it more difficult for someone to snatch my bag. Place for my laptop is a plus.

I know it sounds really obvious, but my old bag is too small for my notebook. To me that would be such a great convenience. At the moment I have to use 2 bags for my equipment, which sucks.

I really like the fast-access, side entry pocket, as with this you can get to your camera fast and not miss the shot anymore.

Great replacement, I’m currently using a shopping bag(green bag) to carry my Olympus DSLR and accessories.
The convenience of never having to put down the bag on the ground to open is what appeals to me the most. Quick and easy, so i can spend more time snapping away 🙂

The Hideway Tripod Mount is definitely a favourite! I am using a Fastpack 200 at the mo, and the tripod mount is something that I do find lacking.
I love the fact that the bag allows the photographer quick access to their camera through a side opening in the bag.

The ability to quickly get your gear out is awesome. Sometimes you just miss a great shot because you got to many pockets & zips.
the top pouch makes it interesting – we always looking for that ‘little’ space to hold all of those unusual accessories / well here it makes perfect sense + with the extra case inside / even smaller items have a place — later days

I love the fact that there is ample space for more than just your camera equipment and that you have quick access through the side opening in the bag. A quality product like this would be a great prize to get to start off 2012 with a BANG….
The side opening would be a selling feature for me. That and the space for a laptop. I can’t fit my entire kit in one bag at the moment…I could with this baby!
My favourite feature is undoubtedly the ability to strap my tripod to the side of the bag which makes navigating through rough terrain a little easier. The built-in All Weather AW Cover is a definite plus too to ensure all my goodies inside don’t get drenched.
I think the best feature is the fact that you could change cameras fast by swinging the bag on one strap to the front and voila!!, everything is accessible. Brilliant design!!
Love the accessibility of the separate compartments – especially the side pouch. And the tripod straps are genious! Could definitely make life on the go a lot easier!

Great bag, all accessories ca fit and space for a laptop. Perfect bag.
WOW, would love to get my hands on this bag as i currently had all my camera gear stolen along with my lowpro flipside 400 bag, i am currently working in Mali, west africa, but with a shoulder strap bag, which is doing me no use, as i am also traveling with AN EXTRA BAG to carry my laptop so that i can download my images. As a freelance travel photographer this would be the ultimate gift to start the new year off with a bang!
To conclude, this would really help me to travel without carrying 2 bags/excess luggage!

I would be able to take all my gear with me since I’ve outgrowned my current Lowepro – would go nicely with my recently purchased bike as well!

I would say that the ability to keep my notebook and tripod with me is definite +1 in my books. At the moment I have all my equipment in separate travel cases and it’s downright inconvenient.

Its very similar to the normal fastpack. I would say the quick access to your camera via the side zip is the best feature.

Just the type of bag that I would need to replace my old bag which has become to small for my equipment
My favourite feature is the fact that there’s is enough space for me to put my laptop and my gear into the bag. I often have to carry two bags with me, one for the laptop, and one for all my camera gear. As I need to be able to upload images as they happen, having a laptop close by is a must. Some situations it’s very dificult to carry two bags around and still be mobile. This will make life so much easier!
No more having to carry the Tripod around in my hand, can easily strap it to the side of the bag and no extra bag needed to bring the laptop with!
Space for all my goodies when travelling, and quick access to boot – Please please please I need it ( begging on my old knee’s LOL)
I love the idea of being able to transport my trip attached to the bag instead of having to carry it.
At the moment I’m beginning to look a bit like a pack-mule when I need to take both my camera equipment and notebook out on a shoot. If I don’t win it, I’ll have to buy – and free is better than cheap.

I like the versatility, and easy access to equipment. Its functionality is tops. I don’t like it, I LOVE it.
Love the fact that I can put my laptop in it! It is always a problem to travel with different bags, especially at airports where you need to take things out.
I have the Computrekker Plus AW and the first thing that caught my eye on the Video Fastpack is the separate compartments. You don’t have to open the whole bag each time. For speed and convenience that rates very highly in my book. As a regular traveller with a heavy bag, being able to separate gear according to need saves time – a very valuable resource.
The quick acess too my equipment is awesome not too forget the tripod and laptop space tumbs up lowepro!!!
this backpack is awesome! The space is great, i could fit my mini collection of camera toys in there one time and have easy access to them! My lappy can also fit inside! neato 🙂

To travel as light as possible and still have the quickest accses to gear will insure you get that special shot and that can be done with this bag.
The backpack is big enough to fit everything you need in it and yet small enough to be able to travel around with it – perfect for hiking!!!
