DJI has announced the new Inspire 1 quadcopter with 4K video capture and an innovative transforming design!

DJI revealed their newest quadcopter this morning, the Inspire 1, featuring an all new design optimised for capturing professional footage both outdoors and indoors.

The most noticeable improvement over DJI’s Phantom series is an all new landing gear design – the Inspire 1 can raise or lower its rotors for flying and landing, which means you can capture unobstructed 360ΒΊ footage with the built-in camera. Speaking of the camera, the Inspire 1 can shoot in 4K resolution at up to 30 frames per second, and 1080p at up to 60 fps.

Shooting indoor footage will now also be possible thanks to positional cameras, which will enable stable hovering and control even without a GPS signal. This makes the Inspire 1 a great alternative to dolly setups or steadicam rigs!

We are currently expecting stock of the DJI Inspire 1 to arrive towards the middle of December. Please contact us for more information.

Even if you’re not currently interested in aerial drone photography, anyone can appreciate the two great ads that DJI have released for the Inspire 1:
