There’s so much to love about Eric Van Nynatten’s “Shot on iPhone” series, there’s almost a Saul Leiter quality to them. Let’s take a look…
Today we look at a three-partย series titled “Shot on iPhone” by New York-based photographer, Eric Van Nynatten. We love this series, not only because the images are beautifully shot, but also because it again just goes to show that you really can work with what you’ve got. You don’t HAVE to have a brand new professional DSLR camera, you don’t have to have an iPhone even. Work with whatever phone or camera you DO have. The most important thing is that you start.
About this series Eric said: “For this series of photos shot on iPhone, I wanted to push theย capabilities of the iPhone and see if I could achieve the same results as my full-frameย mirrorless camera, from shooting in ideal sunlit settings to low-lightย conditions. While shooting inย blizzard conditions the iPhone 8 Plus surprisingly didn’t freeze up or crash once which is a remarkable improvement from earlier models I’ve had. All images were shot on iPhone 8 Plus and edited using VSCO & Snapseed apps forย iOS.”
If you would like to see more of Eric’s work, you can visit hisย website, follow him onย Instagram orย Behance.
