In photos: Don’t miss Oliver Barnett’s beautiful “Polymorphic” exhibition, currently on display at the Ebony Gallery in Loop Street, Cape Town.

The English-born, Oliver Barnett is a self-taught visual artist, living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. His second solo exhibition, which is currently on display at Ebony Gallery, is compelled greatly by the natural world and inspired from the tribal masks encountered on his travels through remote areas of the African continent.

The title, ‘Polymorphic’ is a biological term that refers to processes within natural selection, where creatures of the same species evolve with distinct features to adapt to their environment. Though heavily rooted in the scientific, Barnett accommodates for a sense of mysticism and magic throughout his work as well.

‘Polymorphic’ will be on exhibition from the 3rd March –  2nd May at Ebony Gallery, 67 Loop St, Cape Town City Centre. All the works were printed and framed by Orms Print Room and Framing.
