Facity is an international photographic project which aims to capture people’s faces from participating cities around the world.

Facity is an international photographic project which aims to capture people’s faces from participating cities around the world, hence the name: face plus city equals Facity. There is a strict esthetic guideline, called the Facity manifest, which separates this from other similar projects. To create a uniform look and feel, participating photographers have to take each partial head shot with a 50mm at f/2.8, without any artificial light and minimal post production.

Currently, the only South African city represented on Facity is Cape Town, with 1 photographer and 3 portraits. Let’s get some more photographs and cities on there! If you’re interested in participating, either as a photographer or a model, contact them here. For more information, take a look at the FAQ.
