Great travel photographs from Ghana, taken by Capetonian photographer Luke Moore during his recent trip.

These travel photographs were taken in Ghana by Capetonian photographer Luke Moore during his recent visit. In his own words:

“In April 2012, my mother and her friend left Cape Town on a 2 year trip across West Africa, travelling with nothing but a border collie and their Land Rover. I had been planning to meet up with them somewhere along the way and decided that Ghana would have to be that country. So in January 2013, I jumped on a plane to Accra with a bag of clothes and my camera.

“The first thing I noticed as I stepped off the plane was the humidity, the second being the private car to taxi ratio – it seemed like everyone in Ghana was either a taxi driver or a fisherman. But more importantly, the third thing I noticed was how happy everyone was. Ghana must be one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. This made it a photographer’s paradise.

“Before I had even left South Africa, I knew it was going to be a challenging trip, from a photography side, as all I had was my body, a 10-20mm and a 50mm f/1.8. But none the less, I accepted the challenge! The two weeks flew past, and I soon found my self back in Cape Town with a mountain of editing to do. Here are a few of my favorite images that showcase my experience of this amazing part of the world.”
