How to turn your kid’s artwork into a useful everyday item to have in the house – from keeping shopping lists held up to your little one’s masterpiece.

Everybody loves a personalized gift, but let’s be honest, what can you really do with the stacks of drawings from your 4-year-old? Why not pop into Orms Print Room & Framing and have them all scanned! Once you have digital copies of the artwork there are endless possibilities to what you can make, like the Kids Artwork Photobook idea we shared last week.

Another one of our favourite gift ideas are magnets – they’re easy to make, they can be really sentimental and most importantly, they’re useful. Grandma and Grandpa will love personalized magnets from your little one that they can use to stick important numbers and special photographs on their fridge.

It might seem like a complicated job but its way easier than you’d think!

What you need:

  • Orms Create & Print Software, it’s entirely free and you can download it from our website.
  • The scanned artwork, you can either scan these yourself if you have a scanner or we can scan it for you.

Here’s how:

Step 1: Open the Orms Create & Print software by clicking on the Orms icon on your desktop.

Step 2: Select the magnet option from the product types list and explore all the wonderful things you can make while you’re there. You’ll be amazed!

Step 3: Upload your images to the gallery and then drag and drop them into the template. Once you are happy with your selection of images, save the project and add it to the shopping cart.

Step 4: When you are ready to make the payment, simply do the transaction, select if you would like to have your magnets couriered or if you would like to collect them in store. They will be ready within 5 – 7 working days.

If you’re feeling a little daunted by the idea of designing something on your own, don’t worry – make an appointment with one of our designers (call: 021 469 1978) and we’ll help you make your ideas come to life.
