This morning Canon made all of our Valentine’s Day dreams come true with the announcement of their new compact, full-frame mirrorless EOS RP.

Canon fans hearts have grown three-fold this Valentine’s Day with the just announced introduction of Canon’s new EOS RP, the lighter weight, smaller relative of their first full-frame EOS R announced in September of last year.

Featuring a 26.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and a continuous shooting speed of 5fps, you’ll instantly see the slight step down from the EOS R to the EOS RP. The EOS RP is backed by the same DIGIC 8 image processor that Canon shooters have come to love, and the same ISO range of 100-40000 as it’s bigger brother.

Designed with enthusiast photographers in mind the EOS RP includes a variety of professional features such as; extremely fast Dual Pixel CMOS AF system featuring 4779 autofocus points, 4K at 30fps video capabilities and full HD at 60fps, WiFi compatibility for seamless sharing of your creations. The high-resolution vari-angle touchscreen gives you super smooth operation and allows you to easily focus on an image and access to your settings.

All of these features packed into a body measuring 132.5x85x70mm and weighing only 485g with battery and card included. Showing that the new Canon EOS RP is perfect for the enthusiastic creator who values high-quality performance but is looking for gear that has the ability to seamlessly become an extension of themselves.
