These photos were captured at the recent Fire Balloon Festival in Myanmar, which was one of the last stops in travel photographer Kyle Mijlof’s journey through Southeast Asia.
As might be expected when you load a hot-air balloon with fireworks, things did not go over as smoothly as the health and safety officials would have liked – but it does make for some incredible footage!
Myanmar is just the latest country added to Kyle’s impressive list of destinations: Egypt, Namibia, Ethiopia, Morocco, Ghana, Congo/DRC/Gabon, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.
Awesome footage in the video, the man has balls of steel to face those oncoming rockets and keep the camera aimed in the right direction!
