The CTSP is offering exciting new courses in the coming weeks, including time-lapse photography, DSLR video, and iPhoneography.

The capabilities of DSLR cameras these days are nothing short of revolutionary. Staying ahead of the curve is like traveling at speed around a hairpin bend and hoping for the best. Added to the challenge is a conundrum of choice: phones have cameras, still cameras have video, pixels are multiplying, and software can undo and redo everything imaginable. Hell, even coffee comes with wings.

Spoilt for choice, it is an exciting age for photographers and enthusiasts alike. Just watch a time-lapse video of creeping shadows through a city to be enchanted by this magical feature or produce the much sort after filmic effect (to borrow a cinematographic term) on a large sensor DSLR still camera. Photographers are embracing the new functionality available to them as an avenue for creative expression and revenue.

The Cape Town School of Photography is certainly not lagging behind on these photographic trends. CTSP has developed two new course for the intermediate photographer. The first is a time-lapse course with Eric Nathan, a respected photographer and time-lapse guru. The second is a DSLR video course with local filmmaker and videographer, Marius van Straaten. Get there or get left behind. (P.S. Word is that CTSP will also be offering a iPhonography course in May!)

Check out CTSP website for course dates and costs.
