And now for something different: Our interview with Capetonian photographer and videographer Sean Metelerkamp.

In today’s Orms Connect Interview we share a few words and photographs by Capetonian photographer and director Sean Metelerkamp. The photos below form part of a documentary series titled Skeef Reënboog – view the rest of the series here.

Orms Connect: First things first, tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you love shooting?

Sean Metelerkamp: I am a male. I’m 28 years old and I love walking on peaches at sunset. I’m sensitive and I love cats. I absolutely LOVE shooting cats. I love that.

OC: Who or what got you interested in photography as a career?

Sean: This old man.

OC: What is your most memorable assignment or project, and why?

Sean: Hopefully the next one.

OC: If you didn’t pursue photography, what else would you have liked to do?

Sean: Become a cat whisperer.

OC: What’s your favourite website or blog?

Sean: Anything to do with cats.

OC: How do you keep yourself busy or entertained when you’re not shooting or editing?

Sean: I walk along Sea Point and curse all the fat doggies.

OC: If you could have a drink or a cup of coffee with any photographer, who would you pick, and why?

Sean: Hmm, I don’t drink that shit so this is kind of awkward.

Sean’s latest video project will go live early next week, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, you can view more of his work over on his website.
