Photos from last night’s opening of The New B&W Photography exhibition with This Is Film and Between 10 and 5.

The New B&W Photography opened last night to great success!

As part of Open Thursday, the latest This Is Film event kicked off at 5PM with an early crowd there to appreciate the arts. The main attraction consisted of the works of ten up and coming young photographers, who each exhibited five works curated by Between 10 and 5 – take a look at the artist features. Exposure Gallery also hosted a Lomography pop-up store, and provided a selection of Lomography cameras which were used by attendees to take snapshots and portraits – the film will be processed, scanned, and the images uploaded soon. Other highlights included projections of vintage camera ads and Mervin from Orms’ famous pop-corn machine!

The exhibition will be up until First Thursdays next week, so if you missed it be sure to go take a look – it will also be available for viewing daily from 10AM to 9PM, except on Sunday.

We’d like to thank Annelien from Orms, Cara from This Is Film, Alix from Between 10 and 5, Fernando from Exposure Gallery, the ten great photographers that exhibited, Red Bull South Africa, KWV and the helpful staff at 6 Spin Street Restaurant.
