Australian photographer Jonathan May’s “The Heist” is a brilliant portrait series focussed around a bank robbery. Jonathan was inspired by films such as Reservoir Dogs and The Italian Job to shoot this series. In his words: “It explores the deception of first appearances and illustrates how easily a tranquil, neutral demeanour can be instantly transformed into aggression or fear.”

Concept aside, the results are hilarious. Below you’ll find one of the four-shot sequences, and there are three more sequences in Jonathan’s Behance gallery.
