Dark and moody street photos shot in the rain in New York, Tokyo and San Francisco by Navid Baraty.

While rainy winter weather makes shooting street photographs difficult, the results can be fantastic, as is evident in American photographer Navid Baraty‘s Rain series. These street portraits were taken in New York, Tokyo and San Francisco.

“With an umbrella in one hand and my camera wrapped in a plastic bag in the other, a rainy day is one of my favorite times for shooting. Rain makes such wonderful lighting on reflective city streets, and creates compositions that portray so much mood and feeling.”
