South African videographer and director Luke Mason recently released Ten Rand, a short film that follows the story of a single R10 bank note for a day and a night in Durban.
Ten Rand explores many South African themes throughout the journey of the bank note, some controversial, and others contradictory. Overall, it’s both a creative and technical success. Even more so when you consider that it is student work –Β Luke created the film as part of his third year of studying Video Tech at the Durban University of Technology.
