Adventure photographer Ewald Sadie sent us these awesome photos from a trial running shoot he did this past weekend in Jonkershoek.
Ewald made great use of off-camera lighting to achieve the punchy look. Here’s his full gear list:

- PocketWizard Mini + Flex radio triggers
Setup:
“Each shot varies from the other in terms of flash positioning, power output, lens and angle. Shooting on a cloudy day like that (and also in the forest) also brings its own challenges, with the light constantly changing. But generally, the idea for each shot is to try and emphasise the runner’s body language and effort, while also keeping strong emphasis on the natural beauty and terrain.”
