In today’s video tutorial, Manfred Werner shows you how to maximise your sharpness and details in Photoshop.

Learn essential retouching and post production skills each Wednesday, right here on Orms Connect. Tutorial Wednesdays are brought to you by Manfred Werner.

In this week’s Photoshop tutorial, I’ll be showing you a quick tip on how to increase your image sharpness and get more details back.

First off, we will open bridge and select our image. We will then take it through to Camera Raw and adjust our sharpness. Once we’re done with that, we will open it in Photoshop, create a duplicate layer and head over to the highlights & shadow adjustment filter. We will then recover more details and adjust our opacity accordingly to contrast and brightness. Once we’re done we’ll sort our PSD file and we are finished.

Quick Reminder: Don’t forget to change your duplicated layers opacity.

Please note: This will be the last Photoshop tutorial for a while, as Manfred will be going on an indefinite break. But don’t worry, as we’ll return with plenty of helpful tutorials covering a variety of topics as soon as we can.
