Beautiful dreamlike underwater portraiture taken by UK-based photographer and freediver Sandy Greenway.

These beautiful underwater photographs were captured by South African-born and UK-based photographer Sandy Greenway.

Sandy, who also happens to be a qualified freediver, shoots the portraits using a Canon 5D Mark III and a 16-35mm f/2.8L lens protected inside a Hugyfot underwater housing. She foregoes the use of underwater strobes and only makes use of available light to create a more natural aesthetic, which results in the portraiture subjects looking like they belong in the water.

As an avid traveller, Sandy often visits Cape Town, and she’ll be back in the Mother City in September – get in touch with her for commissioned work.
