The SlowMo Guys have created a video showcasing the difference between various slow motion speeds.

The SlowMo Guys, a YouTube channel featuring videos by Gav and Dan, two professional high-speed cameramen, have created a video showcasing the difference between various slow motion speeds, i.e. frames per second.

Gav, who shot some scenes for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel, demonstrates the differences in speed using the highly scientific method of smashing mugs while filming at 500fps, 1000fps, 2500fps, 5000fps and 10000fps – the flying pieces of ceramic becomes quite spectacular the more you slow it down.
