Local art director and designer, Xzavier Zulu uses the DJI Osmo Pocket to create a teaser video for his upcoming exhibition EVERYTHINGISASAMPLE in collaboration with Levi’s.

Read as Xzavier Zulu of The Sartists takes us through his experience of using the DJI Osmo Pocket to create a teaser video for his upcoming exhibition #EVERYTHINGISASAMPLE in partnership with Levi’s. Find out why the DJI Osmo Pocket was the perfect addition to his creative toolkit…

“Over the years, I’ve looked to create with the idea of “progress, never perfection,” and the DJI Osmo Pocket challenges that idea – with the best of intentions. As someone who is not technically trained in photography or videography, it allows for ideas to live beyond iPhonegraphy though with the same level of accessibility.

Typically, I’d look to carry my iPhone 8+, Ztylus M4 Lens and Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 to create content and edit it all – whether still or video content, with VSCO. The addition of the DJI Osmo Pocket completes my “toolkit” as it captures high quality still and video content with a stabilised handheld camera delivering 12MP images and video; capable of producing 4K/60fps video at 100 Mbps, and quite simply fits into my cross body bag – which is the most Capetonian necessity yet.

As someone who had come from the Osmo+, the Osmo Pocket has me more at ease, and as a result, allowed for me to create a 30 second film primarily making use of the ‘tracking’ and ‘zoom’ functionality of the Osmo Pocket.”

#EVERYTHINGISASAMPLE is the first collection under Xzavier’s newly launched fashion lable -ism* and will be debuted next month.
