Tutorial Tuesday with Retutpro: Learn how to add a grunge effect to your portraits and photos using Adobe Photoshop.
Post and video tutorial by Manfred Werner, a Cape Town-based photographer and founder of RetutPro.
In this week’s photoshop tutorial, I’ll be showing you an easy technique on how to add an awesome grunge effect to your image. We will start out with a simple duplicated layer then invert it and apply a surface blur filter. Once we have managed that, we will apply a different blending mode and do a few more adjustments in order to get a really good grunge effect. In order to get this process perfectly done, please watch the complete Photoshop tutorial!
Ed’s note: Some of you may recall our Tutorial Wednesdays from 2012, in which Manfred Werner shared great Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom tutorials under the Manniphoto brand. Following a brief break, Manfred relaunched the tutorials as RetutPro, and for the last year he’s been building up a great library of helpful videos on the RetutPro website and the RetutPro YouTube channel – the largest photography and retouching channel in Africa with over 45,000 subscribers.
