Post Process the Milky Way in Lightroom: Ian Norman demonstrates how a few basic enhancements can make your night sky images soar.
Today we join Ian Norman from LonelySpeck.com to take a look at how he would usually apply a basic post process on the Milky Way by using Adobe Lightroom. Now, we have shared a similar Photoshop tutorial in a previous blog post, so if you don’t have Lightroom and you prefer to work in Photoshop, you can find that tutorial here.
Having used a fairly modest camera setup, Ian demonstrates just how much you can get from your RAW image. He kicks off by using a clever trick with the vibrance and saturation sliders, to get a realistic white balance that sets the starting point for a dynamic image of the night sky.
