Watch as George from Negative Feedback compares some of the black and white 35mm films on the market today and talks us through some of the results.

If you are just starting out in 35mm film photography, or even just decided to brave the world of black & white film, it can often feel quite daunting to decide what film you should go with. So today, we join the guys at Negative Feedback at the incredible Hackney Studios in London to shoot some portraits using natural light and compare some of the black and white 35mm films on the market. George shot all the images on the Leica MP, using the 50mm Summilux. Film stocks they compared include; Ilford HP5 400, Kodak Tri-X 400, Retropan 320 soft, Fomapan 200, Fomapan 400.

You can take a closer look at the images from the shoot here. We have a range of black & white film at Orms, including Kodak Tri-X 400, Ilford HP5 400 and a few more. Contact us in store to see what’s currently in stock.
