We came across this great Engagement Photography Series by Portland-based photographer, David Iliyan. The series consists of a few short video clips, each demonstrating how to use different light situations when shooting an engagement session. I don’t know about you, but I always learn and remember something better if I can actually see it vs simply reading an explanation. This is why David’s series really works, not only do you see the end result in images, he also shares the process and his thinking as he shoots. Making it easy to understand why he might position the couple in a specific way in relation to the sun for example. If you are looking for a great way to improve your wedding, engagement or portrait photography in general – David’s tips on natural lighting is a great place to start.
