Watch as Ted Forbes caught up with contemporary American photographer, Keith Carter in his latest episode of The Artist Series.
Oh how we loved the David Brookover episode of the Artist Series! It really is right up there, that said, Ted Forbes from The Art of Photography has done it again with this exceptional interview with American Photographer, Keith Carter! Now officially ALSO one of our favourite episodes! Keith is also known as “a poet of the ordinary,” you might remember we featured a look at his book “From Uncertain to Blue” here on Orms Connect a year or two back.
Keith Carter is based in Beaumont, Texas. His photography has evolved over the years incorporating many mediums including silver gelatin, wet plate collodion, photograms and digital photography. Keith uses many techniques and approaches to conceptually portray his statements as a photographer. He is internationally acclaimed and his work has been shown in over one hundred solo exhibitions in over thirteen countries. Watch as he talks about his incredible work, his process, photographic projects and the inspiration behind them.
“Make the picture, just make the picture. You’ve got the rest of your life to figure out what it means.” – Keith Carter
For those of you who missed it, over the last year or so Ted crowdfunded an entire series of artist interviews with living photographers for his channel. Since then he has met and interviewed some of the most amazing photographers and has slowly been releasing “The Artist Series” episodes ever since. If you’d like to watch more of Ted’s videos you can do so on The Art of Photography YouTube channel, or by following him on any of the following social channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or the Website.
