An emotional reminder by photographer Matt Day just how important it is to photograph the people we love. Take a look…

If you are a regular here on the blog you are probably familiar with Matt Day, we’ve shared a few of his videos on film photography over the last year or so. Today Matt shared a rather emotional personal story, one that demonstrates just how important it is to photograph the people we love. So often we neglect to document the people and moments closest to us. As a photographer myself, I know I’m certainly guilty of constantly shooting, yet I have very few images of my own family and friends. How about you, do you make a point of photographing the people you love?

If you’d like to see more from Matt, he has a fantastic collection of videos on YouTube. A great source of information if you are interested in film photography, although Matt does use digital as well. You can also stay in touch with Matt via his Instagram page, Twitter account or on Google+.
