Shooting portraits, especially when you are starting out, can be quite intimidating. More so, if you plan to focus on street portraits in particular. It’s certainly not for everyone to simply walk up to a complete stranger in the street, and ask to take their portrait. We join George from Negative Feedback and Tim Palman on a little walk in LA to get a few tips on how to approach a subject, what to look for and as always, see the resulting images.

For those of you who are interested, Tim used the Pentax 67 with 105mm f/2.4.

If you’d like to see more from George and the team at Negative Feedback, they have been building a fantastic collection of videos on YouTube. A great source of information if you are interested in film photography. You can also stay in touch with them via Instagram or Twitter.
