South African videographer and director Luke Mason recently released Ten Rand, a short film that follows the story of a single R10 bank note for a day and a night in Durban.
Ten Rand explores many South African themes throughout the journey of the bank note, some controversial, and others contradictory. Overall, it’s both a creative and technical success. Even more so when you consider that it is student work – Luke created the film as part of his third year of studying Video Tech at the Durban University of Technology.
