A gallery of photographs from Julia Fullerton-Batten’s Teenage Stories project, which makes great use of miniatures and lighting.

Teenage Stories is the first part in Julia Fullerton-Batten‘s three part project on teenage girls. German-born photographer Julia has won numerous awards for her fine art projects, including this series. It deals with the insecurities of teenagers during their transition to womanhood. While the theme isn’t exactly subtle, the photographs are well lit and amazing to behold. The effect of the girls dwarfing their surroundings seems to have been accomplished using miniatures only, instead of relying completely on post production.
