Great monochrome snapshots taken and hand printed since the 60s by Dave Healey, and scanned and shared by his daughter.
The great monochrome photographs below were taken on film and hand printed in a home darkroom by Dave Healey. Mostly featuring snapshots of his family and street photographs, these prints were destined to remain boxed up and unseen by many, until Dave’s daughter, Dale Megan Healey started scanning them and uploading them onto a Tumblr blog – My Dad Takes Pictures.
Dale explains it best:
“My dad has been taking pictures since the sixties, but for the past twenty years, he’s worked in a darkroom and many of his beautiful images are hidden in boxes without an audience. I came home for the holidays and started scanning.”
