Great timelapse filmed in the beautiful Swiss mountains by Alessandro Della Bella using five frozen Canon DSLRs.
The timelapse video below was captured by Swiss photographer Alessandro Della Bella during the 12/12/12 “One Day on Earth” project.
Filming on the Swiss peaks of Piz Corvatsch and Piz Nair, Alessandro had to deal with temperatures as low as -25ΒΊ C, but all five Canon DSLRs took the adverse conditions in their stride. Some scenes from the timelapse do show evidence of the optics getting covered in ice, but according to Alessandro, the wind cleared the lenses during the course of the night. In cases where it didn’t, he swapped out cold lenses for warm lenses, and defrosted them in front of an oven.
