A great look at the various photographic tricks and manipulations that goes into McDonalds’ food photography.
When McDonalds Canada received a question from a customer asking them why their advertised burgers look different to the burgers you get over the counter, they filmed this great behind the scenes look at their food photography process.
Although it should already be fairly obvious that the food gets manipulated for better presentation, and the resulting photographs get retouched, it’s great that they are so transparent about it. It’s also good to know that the burgers in their photographs are in fact real food, and not plastic…

They might have used real food in the shoot…, but why do they serve plastic then…? π
Only kidding…!
