Watch this: Julian Tryba’s Boston “layer-lapse” is time-lapse photography like you’ve never seen it before!

Here’s a time-lapse video like you’ve never seen it before. Dubbed a “layer-lapse”, Julian Tryba‘s amazing film blends different times together and syncs the layered effect to music, resulting in a very cool take on the genre.

The video was shot in Boston using Canon 6D and 7D cameras, and consists of over 150,000 shots taken during 100 hours of shooting. Editing the film took a further 300 hours and resulted in 6TB of data. That’s some impressive dedication to the art!

If you enjoy the effect, look into time-slice photography, a similar effect achieved with stills photography.
