Tutorial Tuesdays with RetutPro: Manfred Werner demonstrates how to composite a car into a different scene using Adobe Photoshop.
Post and video tutorial by Manfred Werner, a Cape Town-based photographer and founder of RetutPro.
In this Photoshop guide, I’ll be showing you a car compositing tutorial. We will be cutting out a car from one image and merging it into another shot. For this process we will be using a variety of different techniques. Starting out with our RAW conversion, basic retouching, then complex masking. Once we have managed to do that we will do final color adjustments and apply a flare effect with an external plugin called Knoll Light Factory. In order to have a good understanding of the retouching, please view the complete tutorial.
Editor’s note: Some of you may recall our Tutorial Wednesdays from 2012, in which Manfred Werner shared great Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom tutorials under the Manniphoto brand. Following a brief break, Manfred relaunched the tutorials as RetutPro, and for the last year he’s been building up a great library of helpful videos on the RetutPro website and the RetutPro YouTube channel – the largest photography and retouching channel in Africa with over 45,000 subscribers.
