Breathtaking photographs of our home planet taken by the European Space Agency’s Envisat Earth-monitoring satellite.

From one frontier to another, here’s another post featuring incredible imagery from a top-down perspective – this time from space. These photos were taken by the European Space Agency’s Earth-observing satellite, Envisat. The false-colours are due to the variety of instruments the satellite has on board, allowing it to shoot through cloud cover. Truly breathtaking pictures!
