Take a look at NASA’s incredible Vincent van Gogh-like visualisation of the ocean’s surface currents over 30 months.

Using a combination of satellite and locally collected data, NASA created this incredible visualisation called “Perpetual Ocean”. The video simulates the surface currents of the oceans around the world over a period of 30 months. Also take a look at the stills below the video, or visit the NASA website for print resolution versions of these fantastic images.

Although not strictly photography related, we thought these nature-inspired Vincent van Gogh visuals were too cool not to share.
