A well shot astro-lapse has the ability to transport us to another world and experience things we may not ordinarily be able too.
In this breath taking video, Adrien Mauduit brings time-lapse and astrophotography together, now known as astro-lapse, and takes us on a trip into the core of the Milky Way galaxy. Galaxies Vol. III: Voyage To The Core truly shows us just how vast our galaxy is and takes us on a journey of exploration to the very core of the Milky Way galaxy. So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and join us on this journey.
The creator of this project, artist Adrien Mauduit explains that he’s always been fascinated by the core of our galaxy ever since he first started exploring astrophotography. Many of us, especially those inner-city dwellers aren’t able to experience the true power of the nights sky due to light pollution. Adrien’s goal for this project was to bring this experience to those who wouldn’t be able to truly experience this phenomenon and began searching for places not affected by light pollution to capture just how astonishing our galaxy truly is. His first experience was on the island of Tenerife, an experience he says will remain with him for the rest of his life. It’s this experience that drove him to dedicating the third in his Galaxies series exclusively to capturing the Milky Way.
To create this breath taking astro-lapse Adrien travelled to remote locations across Spain, France and Switzerland, as far away from the light polluted inner cities as he could possibly be. And the results really do speak for themselves!
