What does a full-frame DSLR sound like at 12/14 frames per second? Take a look at these videos to find out.
Following yesterday’s announcement of the new Canon EOS-1D X, one of the most sought after features seems to be the incredibly fast burst mode. The 1D X can shoot full resolution RAW images at 12 frames per second while making use of autofocus, and even 14 frames per second with the mirror locked up and the quality set to JPG.
So, what does it sound like at those speeds? Check out the videos below to find out.
By the way, the new shutter is rated at 400,000 actuations, so even at those speeds you’d need to shoot quite a few events before the shutter needs to be replaced.
