Photojournalist Alex Ogle gets tasked with DigitalRev’s “Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera” challenge, see how he copes armed with a little paper camera…
Alex Ogle a British photojournalist who works for AFP. Recently Alex took part in DigitalRev’s “Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera” series. He gets tasked with a street photography assignment, however instead of his usual Nikon D810 and a 35mm lens he’s armed with a camera that’s main selling point is that it’s made of paper… yes paper.
Additionally the camera has no screen and everything happens with one simple button, the only button. It does have a “view finder” (a term used loosely in this case). The camera also comes with a few filters (green, blue and black & white) and has a little light that flashes every now and again. Besides all that it gives absolutely no indication that it’s actually working or taking any pictures. Watch the video to see how Alex copes with the challenge…
