A solo exhibition by Si Maclennan at the Field Office, Neighbourhood Edition in Woodstock. Here’s all the details and a few images of this exceptional exhibition.
Last night we attended the opening of Cape Town based Graphic Designer, Si Maclennan’s debut solo show, GEOMETCENTRICITY.
We worked with Si on Printing and Framing his works and were therefore really excited to see it all come together – and it didn’t disappoint. All images were printed in an edition of 5 on acid-free, 308gsm, 100% cotton Hahnemühle Photo Rag.
“This entirely new body of work showcases 10 illustrations with influence apparent in architecture and urban culture gleaned from the artist’s recent experiences at home and abroad. These geometric impressions of modern life are an uncomplicated celebration of abstract minimalism and satisfyingly straight lines.” [GEOMETCENTRICITY Catalogue]
The best part of an exhibition is always the viewers experience and interaction with the work. As these are all abstracts, it was interesting to overhear the snippets of conversation surrounding peoples interpretations of the curves and lines. The Exhibition is on until the 12 July 2015 at Field Office, Neighbourhood Edition in Woodstock so if you like what you see, make sure you pop in to have a look.
