Photos from last night’s exhibition opening at Stevenson Cape Town, featuring Andrew Putter’s Native Work portraits.
Capetonian photographer Andrew Putter’s latest exhibition, Native Work, opened at Stevenson Cape Town last night, alongside Claudette Schreuder’s Great Expectations and Ian Grose’ New Pictures.
Native Work is a series of 42 portraits of contemporary black Capetonians, 21 of which are black and white portraits in tribal or traditional costume, and 21 colour portraits in the sitter’s own clothing.
The exhibition will up until 6 April 2013 at Stevenson Cape Town in Woodstock, so be sure to go take a look. Native Work was printed by Vincent van Graan at the Orms Pro Photo Lab. Here’s a few photos from the opening last night:
