Watch this great video by Green Renaissance, featuring heart-shaped bokeh, and tips on creating your own photos and videos.
Green Renaissance, a local South African production company that promotes green and conservation initiatives, has shared this amazing short clip with us, featuring heart-shaped bokeh.
Film Tip/Trick: Green Renaissance spent an afternoon experimenting with bokeh videography. Bokeh is the blur, or aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image. We cut heart shapes out of a piece of black plastic sheet and cardboard, and played around with placing this either on the front or back element of the lens. We found that placing the cut out heart shape on the back element allowed for a sharper image. The result is that any out of focus elements read as hearts.
