In his latest video, British director and cinematographer Philip Bloom shares his personal list of what he regards as the best camera gear released in 2017. Let’s take a look…
British director and cinematographer Philip Bloom is known for his DSLR filmmaking, blog, and workshops and has worked with everyone from Lucasfilm, CNN, Sky to the BBC. He is also rather well known for his camera tests, which often take the form of short films or documentaries. You might also remember we shared his “DJI Spark Review, Filmed entirely on the DJI Spark” a few months back. In his latest video however, Philip shares his personal gear favourites that came out in 2017.
As Philip rightly states; “2017 Has been another year of great camera gear being released. For the first time ever I have decided to select MY favourites of the year. Tripod, drone, cinema lens, stills lens, DSLR, Mirrorless camera, video camera, 360 camera, microphone, lights, gimbal… I have chosen my favourites. To qualify they need to have been released this year and I also have had to have experience with them. I am sure many will disagree but that’s FINE! There will be many great products I haven’t included because I simply haven’t used them. For those complaining that the GH5 didn’t feature… it came second for mirrorless camera, OK? It’s a great camera! :)”
