Paul Speirs, a Capetonian filmmaker and Orms customer, shared his amazing There is No End short film with us over the weekend.
There is No End features beautiful storytelling and cinematography, visualising the sombre poem,
Arkansas Good Friday by Franz Wright, against the familiar backdrops of Sea Point and Cape Town. Paul describes: “A visual essay through the eyes of a generation of women and set to the words of the poet Franz Wright, unravelling the patterns of conditioning that create the unmanaged expectations we take into life and love.”
Bar one or two scenes, the entire film was shot using only a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 50mm lens. Visit Paul’s website for more of his work.
