Local urban exploration photography enthusiast Steven Morrow took these awesome photos inside the decommissioned Athlone Power Station.

While urbex photography and trespassing usually go hand-in-hand, Steven managed to get permission to shoot inside the old power station. He explains: “After lots of back-and-forth and several carefully-worded emails to various people, I managed to gain access to this amazing site. I had to organise the visits as security is tight there due to valuable copper, etc. The scale of everything is just phenomenal!”
