Eyewitness News recently filmed a segment in our darkroom as part of their Dying Trades series, featuring photographer and director Gordon Clark.
While we don’t entirely agree with calling darkroom printing a ‘dying trade’, there’s no doubt that it has become a niche printing method, with fewer and fewer printers offering the service, and even less being trained with darkroom techniques. That said, we do agree with Gordon’s prediction that darkroom printing and enlarging will still be around for a very long time, and we’re exceptionally proud of the work of our own darkroom master, Hillary Dollman.
