The new Nikon Coolpix B600 features a 60x optical zoom lens, which covers the equivalent of 24-1440mm in 35mm format while enabling Dynamic Fine Zoom gives you a zoom of up to 120x. It comes complete with Nikon’s Hybrid Vibration Reduction (VR) technology and offers a dedicated macro mode for those close up shots. While the B600 does not feature an EVF the addition of the 921,000-dot wide viewing angle TFT LCD screen complete with anti-reflection coating more than makes up for this. Created to fill the gap between the Coolpix B600 and Coolpix A1000, measuring in at just 121.6 x 81.5 x 99.2 mm and weighing in at a mere 500 grams battery and memory card included, this is sure to be a welcome addition to every keen photographer’s go-to kit.

The new Nikon Coolpix A1000 is said to be the successor of Nikon’s A900 and fits nicely into this gap. Boasting a 35x optical zoom lens with an equivalent focal length range of between 24-840mm. Much like the newly announced Coolpix B600, the A1000 comes with the addition of Nikon’s Hybrid VR technology and Active D-Lighting. This new addition to the Coolpix family features a 1/2.3 inch 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor with a standard sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400, with the ability to capture raw images in Nikon’s NRW format and 4K30 video this would be a welcome addition to any hobbyist photographers kit.
