  60. I’ve had a D5000 for a number of years which I bought from Orms in Cape Town and have used it almost daily. With a 70x300mm lens it has to be the most versatile camera, lightweight and ideal for wildlife and bird shooting! I love the new features and I’m so glad that they reintroduced the flip viewer which I’ve found so handy. The touch screen is an awesome bonus. I’d love to own 2 bodies with different lenses for those times when you need a lens change – I’ve missed some beauts by having to change lenses and the moment is lost. An avid wildlife and bird photographer, timing is of the essence! The Nikon colours are still the best and I can definitely recommend this super camera not only for first time DSLR users but experienced ‘Nikoners’ too.

  105. Borrowed my son’s Nikon, broken into my car and stolen out of the back of the car. No insurance. Contacted Nikon SA and ORMS and asked them to look out for the stolen camera. Nikon phoned me 2 weeks back camera was handed in for repairs by a Somalian . One Lens beyond repair, camera not worth repairing. would be so good to have this opportunity to give my son a camera back.

  106. Currently using a nikon D3200, an upgrade would do just awesome! D5500 with a 1.4 art lens handles lowlight extremely well. Would really love the upgrade

    1. Hello Bennie, at the moment no. This competition is open for South African residents only unfortunately, sorry about that. We will make a note and see what we can do for next time.
